Frequently Asked Questions
HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE? My portrait session fee is $150, with print & digital products additional. Weddings start at $2,800.
Email or contact me here for detailed pricing - I'd love to hear from you!
DO YOU TRAVEL OUTSIDE OF THE GORE/RIVERSDALE AREA?
I love to travel, so just let me know where & I will let you know if there is any additional cost for travel. I also offer special individualised wedding pricing for destination weddings.
I'VE NEVER HAD PHOTOS DONE BEFORE, I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO! As your photographer it is my job to make sure you have a great time in front of my camera. I'll give you all the guidance you need & I promise we'll have fun!
My favourite images are the 'in the moment' type shots, for example when you're laughing and not even looking at the camera. I give you things to do so that you don't feel frozen or awkward and we keep the entire shoot conversational & relaxed.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE WEATHER IS NO GOOD ON THE DAY?
I love shooting outside for most photoshoots. I like using natural light because it really suits my style of photography and I also try to do a lot of sessions in the first or last hours of the day when the light is soft and gorgeous.
Because I shoot mainly outdoors most of my sessions are weather dependent, but don't worry if the weather doesn’t turn out, I will work with you to reschedule.
If it is your wedding day, don't worry as I will have sorted out wet weather options for locations prior to the day & rain is good luck!

WEDDING TIPS + INSPIRATION
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET OUR FINAL PHOTOS?
Because I take special care with the post-processing of your images it does take a few weeks before your images will be ready. Portrait packages are ready within 3 weeks after the session and I turnaround weddings within 5 weeks. Most clients opt to have previews posted on my Facebook page while I am editing so they can get a sneak peak at their photos and share these with their friends and families.
SHOULD I BACK UP MY IMAGES? I strongly encourage you to back up your purchased images from USB onto external hard drives for safe keeping. This should be standard practice for everyone that keeps treasured photos in a digital format. I also go to long measures to backup both my work and personal photos. For wedding clients I upload their final images to a password-protected online gallery for safe-keeping.
WHAT GEAR ARE YOU USING? My camera bag contains professional Canon cameras and my favourite assortment of lenses. I carry backup gear with me just in case & I make it a priority to use the best systems when it comes to card maintenance, gear cleaning & image back-up.
As for post-production: I use professional Adobe software: Lightroom 6 and Photoshop.
If you'd love to talk more about the gear I'm using you are welcome to ask - I can talk for days about anything to do with photography ;-)
