Walker Family Portraits {Ferndale, Gore}

At the end of April I met the beautiful, fun and friendly Walker family. We picked a perfect Southland day for family portraits on their farm. The autumn colours were out, the views were awesome and we had a great afternoon laughing our way through the photo session. 

Getting to meet incredible couples and families because of my job is just so cool! I really enjoyed getting to know Karyn, Mark and their teenage kids. It was special to create photographs of this time in their lives on the farm. Being able to connect, chat and find common ground with people is what enables me to document their lives & personalities naturally and with honesty. I will never take that for granted because I know just how it can feel to be on the other side of the camera.
