I say this at the risk of sounding like a broken record because I know I say it all the time, but every day I am doing photography I am grateful. I don't have the words to explain how much I love what I do. My camera allows me to meet so many awesome people, document their stories and make not only meaningful connections but often friends.
Meeting the Tutty family was a fabulous example of this. Simon, Kirstine and the children have a beautiful slice of Southland paradise out at Whiterig, on the outskirts of Gore and this is where we did all their family portraits. Talk about being spoilt for choice - we had views of the Hokonui hills, big grass paddocks, the back garden, a tree house, Simon's man cave, the stables and some old sheds too! But to be honest, it wouldn't have mattered if we didn't have any of this, the Tutty's were so totally photogenic and awesome they'd look good standing in front of anything ;)
As soon as I drove up the drive, I saw the complete set of Honda motorbikes sitting out in the front paddock & I just knew it was going to be a great session. At this point also I was quietly happy I hadn't brought Matt out with me - I could imagine him and the boys talking all things bikes for hours!
A quick head count and it turns out there's more motorbikes in this family than riders!
Totally photogenic! Totally gorgeous! Even the dogs have got their pose on!!!
Thank you so much Tutty family for getting me over to take these portraits and giving me the grand tour around the property. I had a great time & I cannot wait for your trio of canvas' to arrive - they're going to look stunning on the wall together.xx
