Recently on Instagram you might have noticed me using the hashtag #heidihortoncouples on some of my posts. Wondering what's going on there??
As you've probably come to realise I'm a bit of a geek about certain things; I 'geek out' about photography, technology (particularly Apple things) and I'm also a bit of a geek when it comes to marketing, branding, spreadsheet projections and fun business stuff like that! (Not so much doing GST & tax returns though). I'm always trying to improve the way I do business and searching for opportunities to increase my client's experience. So when I read Seth Godin's concept of tribes and relating it to the idea of building community within your business - I immediately turned to Matt and proclaimed I wanted to build a tribe! Don't worry it's not as freaky as it sounds, I promise!!! What I really meant was that I wanted to find a way to build a collective or community feeling within my business. So clients don't feel like clients but rather part of the Heidi Horton Photography family. I want to stay connected with past clients, in fact many of our past couples have become friends we keep in touch with! And what better way to build a community than with a hashtag! 😜 Haha just kiddin'. But it did need a name. I plan to use this hashtag for all our wedding couples on Instagram so that my amazing, beautiful couples are in one place together, but it's so much more than a hashtag - it's the community feeling I hope to create for my couples. My business was built on word of mouth, a lot of my couples know each other, they read each other's wedding blogs and each of them know they're not just 'clients' to us. Ooooh also, between you and me, I'm actually secretly in the early stages of planning a #heidihortoncouples special VIP event this year, which with a bit of luck will become an annual event for all my #heidihortoncouples. On that note if you want to become one of our future couples, get in touch here, because dates for the 2017/2018 season are filling fast and we only take up to 20 couples each season so that we can love and serve you all 100%! xx |
