When Holly asked me to take some family photographs back at Queen's Birthday, while brother Simon was home from the UK, I knew it was going to be a fun shoot.
I LOVED this session, all taken at the Murphy family home in Gore. The weather was perfect, the late afternoon sunlight was beautiful and the air was filled with constant laughter (do you know how hard it is to take a steady shot when you're laughing all the time?!)
It was great to meet big brother Simon, whom Holly and Jessie had spoken about often. And even though these crazy kids had been apart for a couple of years I could instantly see how close they are. This family has a beautiful bond, which shines through in these images & it was such a pleasure to be a part of it.
Matt & I even stayed after the session to join in a fiercely competitive game of Cranium (how have I never played this game before!?!) it was like we were part of the family! Thanks Murphy clan for being such great sports & for the opportunity to take these photos.xox
Wowzers! Those Murphy girls...
And they secretly loved getting their photo taken!
So in this one above I said 'group hug' (yes I say stupid stuff from behind my camera)
But in the ones below I honestly don't know what I said to get these - I'm pretty sure I did not ask them to hold hands...
It must be some secret Murphy handshake ;)
My apologies if this blog took ages to load - I may have got carried away trying to choose my favourites!
