Congratulations once again Cody & Tara! You had the most perfect wedding day & I am so excited to share this blog! Thank you for having me as your photographer, it really means more than I can put in words. I know my wedding album is one of my most cherished belongings & looking back on the pictures that tell the story of our wedding day makes me realise just how important it is to capture those beautiful moments of a day that goes by so quickly. Being trusted to capture these moments for a bride and groom was such an honour & the start of my weddings journey I think. Looking back two years I distinctly remember saying 'no, I don't think I'll ever get into doing weddings, I'm not good enough for that & it will be too stressful' - haha! I had so much fun photographing this wedding & found it so rewarding as a photographer that now I know I've caught the 'bug' - it's indescribable how wonderful it is to capture the special moments of a wedding day; a bride's excitement, the look on the groom's face as he sees his bride & the happiness of a wedding day -bring on lots more weddings I say ;) Here's just a small selection of the images from Cody & Tara's beautiful day for you to enjoy.x Tara & the girls were ready with plenty of time so we headed off for a few photos & a couple of glasses of bubbly to calm those pre-wedding nerves before heading out to Maple Glen, the amazing gardens out past Glenham. Love this precious moment of Tara & her Dad. The stunning bride & groom's wedding car. I love that wee sneaky shot of Cody watching his beautiful bride walk towards him down the aisle. Cody picked a cracker day for a wedding! I didn't find out until the speeches why Cody picked the 7th of February - turns out it was also Tara's birthday - his logic being that he'd only have to remember one date! Genius move there Cody, BUT don't think that it means you get to combine the two into one present haha!! One of my favourites! Tara, you had such beautiful details - even down to personalised glasses. The speeches were hilarious - Tara even had Cody eating a sausage out of her hands! No, actually, I'm not making that up & you did read it correctly. Cathy, the MC, had Tara feed Cody a sausage out of the left hand & then the right hand as well - apparently an old tradition...the tradition where the wife has the husband eating out of the palm of her hands & they've only been married a few hours!!! I could not have done this wedding without the awesome support of my assistant for the day, Lorraine. You were such a big help to me & a great companion on such a big day. I'd also like to mention the videographers hired by Tara; Mainland Movies in Gore. It was lovely to meet you & work with you on the day. I love watching wonderfully captured videos as much as I love looking at photos. If you haven't watched their highlights video from Cody & Tara's big day check it out: Again I need to thank you Cody & Tara, you put your faith in me as your photographer and your wedding, as my first ever wedding, will be cemented as a monumental milestone in my photographic journey!!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart! To Mr & Mrs Newton, a very happily ever after! xox |
