At the start of October I was lucky to be part of a beautiful spring inspired styled shoot! I absolutely love these collaborations with other creatives in the wedding industry, it's such a great chance for us all to get creative and have some fun showcasing what we all love to do. This spring shoot took place in Dunedin in a field of daffodils and snowdrops. Steph at Love&GoodCo took care of the styling and props including her newly restored mint caravan which she hires to couples for their wedding day - as a perfect bar setup, a photobooth or to take advantage of Steph's signature handcrafted gourmet fruit pops . Carmel of The Avenue Design Studio created the stationery suite which were printed on luxuriously thick watercolour card-stock incorporating the seasonal colour palette of spring. Carmel always amazes me with her attention to detail and the understated beauty each of her designs has. Flower-girl Thea is Carmel's daughter and she made the perfect wee princess for our shoot! The gorgeous florals were created by Ayla at Twigs n twine, Dunedin. And the colours couldn't have been better! These fruit pops were incredible! I think everyone on site taste tested these! Emily wore a vintage inspired gown by Margaret Wray Bridal. Jamie (owner & director of Margaret Wray) is actually based in London, UK so we were incredibly privileged to be able to have this dress for the shoot! Jamie, originally from NZ, specialises in creating unique one-off gowns. A big shout out to the talented Hayley Wylie Makeup Artist, a freelance makeup artist based in Mosgiel! The makeup on Emily was perfection & photographed amazing. If you're getting married in Otago you should definitely look up Hayley! We were incredibly lucky to have Julia Byars come up from Southland to do the hair styling at short notice! I loved the softness of the style which perfectly suited the theme of the shoot. I had to finish the blog with this photograph...this might have been when I told Thea she was so gorgeous that she might just upstage the bride ;-)
The creative team behind this awesome shoot...
