Last week I had the privilege of taking some photos of this handsome wee man.
Sam was quite the poser, with so many cute facial expressions. This was my first ever newborn type shoot so had to learn as I went along. Sam made it an absolute breeze of a photo-shoot. He was extremely cruisy, just refused to go to sleep! Not that I was complaining, who could resist those beautiful big blue eyes.
I really enjoyed this photo-shoot and I can appreciate just how much effort goes into these types of shoots with professional photographers. Getting the skin tones right was a very interesting post-process (not entirely sure I've mastered it yet!)
I was super lucky with this photo-shoot and was able to use entirely natural lighting which always seems to make my photography sessions go so much smoother.
(However, my next endeavor with my camera is going to include more work with the external flash & low light photography!)
I am looking forward to the next time I get the opportunity to re-try this hammock shot, it's a lot harder than you might think!
Fleur & Emily can vouch for that :-)
This was the best curled up image we could get - Sam was not wanting to sleep while I had a big camera in his face :-)
