On Saturday we met Shanaye & Oscar for their engagement session in Alexandra and we knew just minutes into the shoot that we'd found our kind of people. These two are fun, easy-going and the whole session was filled with laughter and love. Paired with the stunning backdrop of Central Otago and the first of the spring blossom, I was in photographer heaven. 😍
Shanaye met Oscar at a game of social netball. Yay for social sport because these two are just the sweetest couple! Funnily enough it was a game of netball that just about thwarted Oscar's romantic plans of his proposal to Shanaye a few years later. Oscar had grand plans to take Shanaye out to dinner on the date of their 3 year anniversary but Shanaye had other plans...netball. Oscar did still get the chance to propose later that night and clearly Shanaye said yes because there is a BEAUTIFUL ring on her finger and we're super excited to be their wedding photographers next year!!!
From the thyme & rock covered hills of Alexandra, to the soft hues of spring blossom - two of my absolute favourites!
The forecast wasn't exactly in our favour last weekend and although a cloudy day makes for beautiful light, we were treated to a bit of blue sky and the warmth of the sun at the end of the session so we went up the hill as the sun began to set. The perfect way to end an awesome shoot!
Eeee! Shanaye & Oscar you were so much fun to photograph! I can't wait to show you all the photos from your shoot, I literally had the hardest time trying to narrow down my favourites for the blog! Matt and I had such a great afternoon with you in Alexandra - thank you so much. And bring on April 2018!!! x
