Scott & Hannah got in touch with us back in October, literally the day after they became engaged, to book us in as their wedding photographers! Being the first thing couples think of when wedding planning is beyond a privilege. I am so thankful for awesome couples and am grateful to have found my people.
Recently we caught up with these two for their engagement session amongst the autumn leaves. We had a heap of fun chatting about life, wedding plans and hearing their proposal story...
First Scott tells us he had it all planned out to propose to Hannah on a snowy evening in Queenstown. He'd organised a candlelit hot tub experience overlooking the Shotover River and got down on one knee waiting for Hannah to walk into the room. This about the point in the story that Hannah starts laughing as she tells us that she took a long time to arrive to the room, because she was busy waiting outside the toilet for Scott, thinking that's where he had disappeared to. So when she finally got to the room, saw Scott down on one knee her first words were "I've been waiting for you outside the toilet!". I'm guessing Scott eventually managed to actually pop the question and Hannah obviously said yes because these two get married next January & we can't wait!
We had originally planned for a Central Otago autumn engagement session but the weather worked against us so we had to reschedule. Regardless the very next weekend Gore turned on some beautiful colour for us to take advantage of and we ended up with a gorgeously sunny morning!
Scott & Hannah we are so excited for your wedding day to arrive! If your engagement session is a sign of things to come, your wedding day will be a relaxed party filled with laughter and celebration.x
