Each of our wedding couples are special to us in a unique way. When I think back on the weddings we've shot there's always something that stands out to me & makes me smile. Whether it's the friendship we form with the couple, the joyful atmosphere on the day that is unforgettable or a father's tears as he walked his daughter down the aisle. In years to come when I look back on Scott & Emma's wedding day I know I will think of the sweet love these two have, of their excited parents, the beautiful bond Emma & her sister share - and I will definitely think of just how perfectly relaxed the whole day was! On Saturday Scott & Emma married overlooking picturesque Lake Hawea surrounded by their loved ones. They chose to do a 'first look', seeing each other before the ceremony & doing all their portraits then too so that they could spend all afternoon with their guests. The first look wedding format just creates such a relaxed day with no time pressures - in fact the girls got to put their feet up after photos & the guys went down to the lake for a swim! You don't get that sort of chill out time very often on one of the fastest days of your life! I'm so thrilled to share with you some of my favourites photos from Scott & Emma's beautiful day. I adored the styling, the gorgeous details and the portrait locations - but as always it's the people that make the day so much fun for us. The lake was blue to match the sky and the mountains had a beautiful dusting of fresh February snow. While Emma & Laura were pampered by the hair & make up team at the family crib, Scott and Kane got ready just down the road. The lake, the crib, the venue - it was all within a stone's throw. Emma & Scott chose to see each other before their ceremony. And it was so special! In the afternoon as their guests gathered overlooking the lake, it was time to make it all official. And if Scott & Emma's day could get any sweeter, they had their grandfathers sign their marriage certificate as their witnesses! Friends and family cheered them on! The rest of the afternoon was spent relaxing, playing backyard games and celebrating the newlyweds. Scott & Emma's guests were treated to beautiful canapés, platters of cheese and some amazing craft beers brewed by the groom himself! The Hawea community hall looked amazing with fresh flowers in every corner. Master of ceremonies; Jo & Brent were a laugh a minute with their double act. Setting a fun atmosphere for the evening. Emma & Scott thank you so much for choosing us as your wedding photographers! We loved being a part of your very special day and had so much fun celebrating with you both, your family and friends. Our warmest congratulations - we are excited for what the future holds for you both! xx DRESS: Brides by Donna Rae | MAKE-UP: Inner Beauty | HAIR: Leah & Kylie's Mobile Wedding Hair | FLOWERS: Bride's mum | CELEBRANT: Glenys Moore | CEREMONY VENUE: Hawea Lakefront | CATERING: Country Manor | RECEPTION VENUE: Hawea Community Centre | CAKE: Sarah (Bride's friend) & Whitestone Cheese | MUSIC: Robert Glen .
