Riversdale turned on an epic summer's day last Friday for these two! The sun was shining and the Riversdale Golf Course made the perfect venue for a fabulous day of celebration.
Scott and Donique planned a fun and beautiful wedding day - from their awesome bridal party crew who were a hoot to hang out with all day, to incorporating many special family touches and details. Their baby girl Grace featured heavily in the day and was picture perfect for all the family photos! Their styling of the day was gorgeous, I loved the black suits with the forest green bridesmaid dresses, but Donique's gown was definitely the crowning masterpiece. The day just flowed so easily, there was never any rushing or time pressure. The boys even got a cruise around the block in between photos and the reception! And at the heart of it all, these two just wanted to celebrate with all their friends and family.
I didn't realise until Mark's speech in the evening that Scott and Donique are the first to ever marry at the Riversdale Golf Club, a very special milestone considering Scott's grandfather helped build the course. It's a lovely venue for such an event.
Here's some of my favourite images from the day...
Donique and the ladies had such a chilled morning getting hair and makeup done at home. Tiggy dog made sure he was included in all the goings on too. The house was filled with chat, laughter and quite a few teary moments from Donique as the day progressed.
Donique you stunner! You made the most beautiful bride my friend.xx
Meanwhile the guys got a few holes of golf in before getting suited up!
Being this is Riversdale, Matt and I knew just about everybody at Scott and Donique's wedding. I've known these guys since school. Who would have thought all these years later I'd be writing this blog post after photographing Scott's wedding huh?!
Golf courses make epic wedding venues! Those locally grown peonies under the arch are sitting in buckets from Donique's grandfather's butcher shop, a special wee touch.
It was lovely to meet Lou from Say I Do with Lou for the first time. Scott and Donique's ceremony was perfectly them and filled with anecdotes of how they met and fell in love.
Can you see why Grace couldn't be in ALL the wedding day photos? She'd have stolen the show!!!
While guests enjoyed the refreshments & the shade at the clubhouse, we stole the bridal party for a walk around the golf course for portraits. I don't think Matt and I have ever laughed so much during bridal party portraits before! We had a lot of fun hanging out with this good looking crew.
Nailed the champagne pop Scotty!
Up to the terrace in the old cars for more photos, including a cheeky whisky for the lads...
And then it was back to the party at the Riversdale Hall.
Scott and Donique's evening was filled with both funny & heartfelt speeches.
After an amazing meal catered by Food Affair the newlyweds cut the beautiful cake made by friend (and one of our past brides!) Allisha, before opening the dancefloor with band DV8.
Scott and Donique, a huge congratulations on a beautiful first day as Mr & Mrs Weller!
Thank you for trusting in us as your photographers. We had the BEST day with you both and your people. I can't wait to show you all the photos, there are so many more to come.
May your marriage be filled with love, happiness and friendship.xx
