An increasing number of our wedding couples found each other by way of the widely mis-used app; Tinder. It turns out when used for it's intended purpose the app can be quite the match-maker. Scott and Ann both swiped right and now look at this gorgeous pair! On Saturday Scott and Ann married at River Ridge Retreat, an epic venue in the heart of the Catlins. Scott had tears in his eyes as Ann walked down the aisle towards him. One look at these portraits will show you just how in love these two are. Ann is from Scotland originally so it was awesome to meet her family who had travelled for the wedding. Ann moved to NZ and applied her love for animals to dairy farming. Funnily enough when Ann first met Scott he was totally against dairy farming. But Ann loves her cows, and it's plain to see how much Scott loves Ann, so it wasn't long before he tried his hand dairy farming and now the two of them are dairying at Milton. There were hints of Scotland in the wedding details - with tartan, bagpiping and kilts. And also hints of dairying throughout too - check out the cake topper!!! But when I look at these photographs the word that first comes to mind is - JOY. Scott and Ann's day was filled with joy! Ann, you looked stunning! That dress... Matt spent his morning at River Ridge with Scott and the groomsmen. First up; the River Ridge tradition of a morning claybird shoot. It had rained on & off all morning and it was raining as the ceremony began, but then Ann walked down the aisle with her brother and the sun started to come out! Congratulations Mr & Mrs Henderson! Get ready for portrait overload! I have so many favourites from Scott and Ann's portrait time. First we shot up the road to the native bush, before heading out to Purakaunui Bay on the coast. We had the pleasure of working alongside videographer Cam from We the Collective. As photographers we often get asked about videographers from our wedding couples so it's great to have a new friend we can recommend! Then it was back to River Ridge for Scott and Ann's reception. Scott and Ann's first dance was to a montage of love songs played by band; Old School. We ended the night on dusk outside with Scott and Ann's epic light-up LOVE sign. Scott and Ann - congratulations on an epic first day of marriage! It was an honour to be a part of your special day, to meet your families, friends and of course to get to document all the fun & love for you both. I hope you love the blog - so many more photos to come. x DRESS: Love Me Do Bridal | MAKE-UP: Sasha Megan Makeup | HAIR: Kathryn Laverock | FLOWERS: Thanks a Bunch - Jen Paul | CELEBRANT: Barbs Frew | VENUE & CATERING: River Ridge Retreat | CAKE: Sharon Milford | MUSIC: Old School | VIDEO: We the Collective.
