I'm so excited to share this blog post with you! Introducing the awesome couple: Sam Bunting & Kate Allison!! I used to work with Kate & when she got in touch last year to tell me she was wedding planning & wanted to talk wedding photography I was stoked!
Last year Kate & Sam took an awesome two month OE to the other side of the world, and while in Canada, Sam decided it was a great place to propose! When we recently caught up for lunch Kate had heaps to tell me about America which has me super excited about our own upcoming trip to the States!
So last month Matt & I headed down to Invercargill to do a beautiful sunset engagement session with Kate & Sam. It was great to meet Sam & turns out that him and Matt both enjoy motorbikes & trail-riding so of course they got on like a house on fire.
We headed into a wee forestry block down near Sandy Point to start the session off. The sun was streaming through the trees creating an awesome haze. Then it was off to Daffodil Bay for a champagne picnic and to let Finn, the dog out for a run around.
As the sun started to sit lower in the sky we took off to Oreti beach for a few sunset photos and we weren't disappointed because the light was amazing!!!
I love that my clients embrace a session like an outing, picnic or mini date. My favourite images are candid, natural and filled with laughter. Often the magic happens when my subjects are interacting with each other rather than looking at the camera. I couldn't be happier with these photos, they're a complete representation of what I love doing & show just how awesome Sam & Kate are!
When I asked Sam to write their wedding date in the sand he was pretty confident, turns out there's no risk of him forgetting the date because it was meant to be the weekend of one of his favourite trail rides!!! Don't worry Sam, Matt has the same problem with our anniversary! ;)
Aren't these two just sweet!?!
I cannot wait for Sam & Kate's wedding in November! These guys are just so much fun & I know their wedding is going to be incredible.xxx
