On Saturday Rebecca & Korey said "I do" in the summer sun at Waikaia, cheered on by their families & friends. We had the privilege of capturing their perfect day which was filled with love, happiness and a lot of fun. In fact I don't think we've laughed so hard on a wedding day hanging out with the bridal party before - I actually had sore stomach muscles at the end of the day! Waikaia is a special place for these two, somewhere they spend many of their weekends. It's no wonder; this beautiful small town has a peaceful country laid-back vibe to it. And I know Rebecca & Korey will spend many more weekends up here enjoying each others company as husband & wife, bringing their kids to play at the river & having BBQ's in the backyard at the crib. When I arrived to the girls in the morning the lounge was filled with chatter & laughter, while Rebecca's Dad was busy putting the finishing touches on the outdoor area where guests would hang out after the ceremony before heading into the backyard marquee for the reception. On the same street, just a few houses down, the guys spent the morning getting ready and making sure the cars looked immaculate for the big day which naturally involved a few test drives round the block. As I put this blog together I realised there are probably not nearly enough photos of the cars to satisfy Korey & the guys...don't worry I promise I took lots - there are plenty more to come! 😜 Rebecca & Korey wrote each other letters to read on the morning of the wedding, and there might have been a few tears as Rebecca read Korey's words. Meanwhile the morning looked slightly different for the guys... How awesome are these vintage tractor cufflinks?! With the ribbons on the cars it was off up the hill to Switzers Church to make it all official. I love how shooting with Matt means that when the bride walks down the aisle towards her groom we can capture both the bride arm-in-arm with her parents and at the same time that special moment of the groom's reaction. It was a beautiful moment when Rebecca & Korey's mums walked up together to light the unity candles for their children. Mr & Mrs Parker!!! As guests headed back down towards town enjoying the stunning weather, the bridal party took some time out to celebrate, chill and have fun doing photos. Looking fabulous team Parker!!! Epic bridal party! Congratulations friends! We know you have an incredible marriage ahead of you!
