Rachel & Joe get married in February and we cannot wait! Recently Matt and I headed out to the Wilson's farm up the Lilburn Valley, near Lake Hauroko to spend the afternoon with this awesome couple and the extended Wilson family. We timed it perfectly to do family portraits in the afternoon before sneaking away to the top of the farm with Rachel & Joe do to their engagement session at sunset.
We were treated to a stunning spring day and it was awesome to get to know these two better. I think Matt and Joe could have spent hours yarning about bloke stuff including motorbikes & old cars!
Joe tried to make out like he didn't enjoy having his photo taken, but I think he looks pretty happy with Rachel in his arms! In fact these two absolutely rocked their engagement session & I know their wedding day is going to be a fun, relaxed day with a lot of laughs!
I just love that dreamy late afternoon light! The Wilson's live in a beautiful part of our country & we were spoilt for choice with views.
I know my clients trust me when I can convince them to climb through a barbed wire fence & stand in the middle of some native scrub for me, all because I wanted to do some silhouettes with the setting sun! I actually have the best clients!!!
That sunset light!
Rachel & Joe, thank you for being so much fun to photograph, for letting me get creative, for following me through barbed wire fences and for just being superstars in general. Matt and I talked the whole way home from your shoot about how excited we are for your wedding day!
Hope you love the photos! xxx
