One perfect model + One talented make-up artist + One keen photographer = FUN!
These are the final images from a recent photo shoot with the lovely Nikky and an old school friend and makeup artist, Laura (who I'm so excited for as she is now working for Mac in Christchurch!! yee, even though I'm a little bit gutted we won't be working together any longer).
The weather decided to shine for us, after raining all week - so I had an extremely itchy trigger finger!
These photos were mainly for Laura's makeup portfolio, but I also wanted these images to evoke a sense of 'owning your beauty'.
I am really happy of where I've got to with my editing so far. I'm doing all my editing in Photoshop now, processing & organizing in Aperture3. I've learnt heaps about color & layer techniques recently which I have put to good use in this collection of images.
What do you think of my editing?
Am I airbrushing the skin too much? I tend to soften the skin more in this kind of portraiture. Going for the magazine spread image look but not wanting to stray too far from real...
I'm always interested in hearing how you 'see' my images.
It's also really interesting seeing my images on other computer screens, I edit on Mac & I find my images can look quite different on PC & even just differences in varied display screens. It's all a big learning curve :)
Thank you Nikky for your awesome modeling skills, you are always a pleasure to work with.
I think these photos portray exactly what I wanted to.
And thank you Laura for your time & expertise ;)
I hope these add a little something to your portfolio.
