I came to see the O’Neill family on their Waimumu farm the day they were saying goodbye to their home of the last 23 years. The whole family was together and they thought it perfect timing to get some family photos on the property that I am sure holds many wonderful memories for them all.
The garden looked lovely with all the autumn leaves and I am fairly certain Phillip had a great time throwing leaves around behind me to entertain the grandkids!
This is about when I proclaimed that I needed to just take one step back into the garden to get the right angle for the shot, and when I heard them call out “no that’s a pond!” it was too late and my foot was well and truly soaked! I’m not going to lie - it was a little weird squishing around with one wet foot for the remainder of the shoot. But it definitely wouldn’t be the first time I’ve got my feet wet all in the name of getting the shot!
O'Neill family! I had a fabulous morning with you all, it was a pleasure to meet everyone and a privilege to take photographs that I know will be very special for you.x
