These sweethearts, Nick and Eden, got married on Sunday at The Winehouse in Gibbston Valley, cheered on by their families and close friends. I've had the pleasure of getting to know Nick and Eden over the last year and half. When Eden first got in touch with me I could tell from our initial email conversation that these two were our kind of people. I mean the woman had pretty much read through my entire blog archives as she began wedding planning!!! And then we realised that we were already booked for their wedding weekend! I was devastated. So was Eden. After phone calls with Megan the celebrant and Eden herself, I knew we had to make an exception to our rule of not shooting double headers (two weddings in a weekend). I'm so glad for Nick and Eden's trust in us because we couldn't imagine not having met these two now and being their photographers was an absolute privilege. Their wedding was intimate with 50 odd guests. Stunning in every way - the dress, the styling, the venue, photo locations. There were tears of joy and the garden venue was filled with the sounds of laughter, fun and celebration. It was an honour to document the love Nick and Eden share. Here's some of my favourite photos and moments from their very special day... That blush dress! 😍 Eden you made such a gorgeous bride. Nick and his brother, Mark, got ready at The Winehouse venue. Nick's parents got him a pocket watch from Switzerland as a wedding gift - what an incredible family heirloom! I can just imagine that one day this will be passed down to the next generation with all the stories and memories from Nick & Eden's wedding day attached to it. Nick looked very dapper. Rocking the waistcoat and bowtie! How beautiful is The Winehouse wedding venue?! Nick's reaction when he saw his bride!!! Nick and Eden's ceremony was officiated by the lovely Megan McKenzie. The ceremony was filled with beautiful words, a good dose of laughter and many happy tears. Nick and Eden walked back down the aisle as husband and wife, to cut their wedding cake - three rounds of cheese which was paired with a beautiful grazing platter for afternoon tea. While guests spent the afternoon in the garden enjoying The Winehouse's hospitality & lawn games, we took a walk around the grounds for portraits with Nick and Eden. Then it was up to The Remarkables ledge with Heli Works for these newlyweds. This was a dream of Eden's to have a heli location for portraits and I'm so glad the weather played it's part to make this happen. I spent our time up on the mountain running around snapping away, squealing with joy at all the photography goodness - I was in heaven! Nick and Eden were caught up in the moment, enjoying being just married, that epic long veil was all kinds of fun in the wind and I can't even describe the view. Congratulations friends! Nick and Eden, we loved being a part of your special day and it has been a pleasure getting to know you both and your families. Matt and I wish you every happiness in your marriage and look forward to seeing what life has in store for you. I hope you're having the best honeymoon! Talk soon, x.
