Logan and Aleshia tied the knot on Saturday on the family farm near Lumsden. They had the ceremony in the garden and reception over in the big shed. The day, from start to finish, was relaxed, fun and filled with personal touches - from the wedding trucks, to cowgirl boots. Including the animals in their day and even making the archway from timber off the farm! Plus there is a uniqueness to every farm wedding or shoot I do because I get to go places that are special to the people in the photos and every backdrop is new, potentially somewhere I won't go again with my camera.
We had so much fun photographing this beautiful wedding and it felt like we knew almost everyone there. Last year Aleshia's sister got married and this is when we first met Logan, Aleshia and of course the Souter family. Plus being just down the road from Lumsden ourselves there were many familiar faces.
Aleshia got ready at Brookhaven cottage on the other side of Lumsden. It was a very cruisy morning. There were tears of joy when Aleshia's Dad saw her in her wedding dress for the first time. Here's some of my favourite images from the day...
Logan got ready at home with his groomsmen. Matt spent the morning with them and by the look of the photos it was a pretty chilled out morning for the guys too!
Aleshia arrived to the ceremony with her Dad in the truck - what a way to make an entrance!
It was lovely to work alongside celebrant Rachael Collins again. Logan and Aleshia's wedding was filled with love and a few good laughs too.
Logan and Aleshia surprised their very good family friends Donna & Allan with the honour of being their marriage certificate witnesses.
While guests relaxed in the gardens the bridal party and us headed up the hill to the top of the farm for portrait time. Check out that blue sky view looking back down towards the farm house and yards!
From the hills and cattle down to the farm hut!
Our last stop was to see the horses before heading to the reception.
The farm shed had been transformed into a reception wonderland with hessian cloth, string lights and a number of wooden masterpieces all crafted by the groom himself! From the head bridal table, to the bar leaners and even the antler chandelier. Logan you are very talented!
Logan and Aleshia's wedding cake, made by the wonderful Oh Cakes, gave me inspiration to sneek the bride and groom away for a couple of sunset silhouettes...
Logan and Aleshia, what a perfect first day to the beginning of your happily ever after! Thank you for including us in your day. We loved celebrating with you both, your families and friends. We look forward to seeing where this adventure of marriage takes you!
