Kirsten & Mark get married this Saturday and we can't wait to photograph their gorgeous day! Last week we met these two for the first time in person, after a year of keeping in touch via Skype video calls and emails. The reason being, that Kirsten and Mark actually live in the UK! Kirsten is originally from NZ though so her and Mark have come home to get married in our beautiful country.
I have Megan McKenzie, one of my favourite Southland celebrants, to thank for the opportunity to cross paths with Kirsten & Mark, as she was the one who recommended me to them! And I am so thankful to Megan because Mark & Kirsten are just the loveliest couple. When we met for lunch last week before their engagement shoot, I felt like we made instant friends.
We managed to strike a beautiful Southland day for their engagement shoot and headed to Queens Park in Invercargill to enjoy the sunshine & get to know these two even better. Since arriving in New Zealand Kirsten & Mark have had a bit of a shock with the weather. Southland hasn't exactly been turning on the summer these past two weeks!!! And these poor guys hadn't packed any jackets! We have our fingers crossed for a beautiful summery day on Saturday, but regardless of the weather we know Kirsten & Mark's wedding day is going to be a very beautiful, happy and meaningful day for everyone present!
I love these photos! I can't remember what we were laughing about now, but I remember having a lot of fun.
And what do you do when two random dogs passing by want to join in the fun? Get them in on the photo shoot of course! This furry duo, aptly named Fred & Wilma, were fantastic models and lapped up all the attention! I just love how stuff like this happens - big thanks to their owner for stopping & letting us take photos with them! Fred & Wilma, you are adorable!
Kirsten & Mark, thank you so much for meeting with us last week! We had a great afternoon with you both and we look forward to seeing you again this weekend. 😊 xx
