One of their first dates was at Pinders Pond. A quiet picnic spot amongst the old pines, overlooking the water. It felt right to start James and Katie's engagement session with a bottle of champagne there. James' dog Kip couldn't work out why she wasn't allowed to go swimming, but she loved being a part of the portraits nonetheless!
James and Katie get married later this year and we're honoured to be their photographers. It was actually Katie's mum who contacted me first when her daughter got engaged. Katie said her mum asked her who they wanted as wedding photographers and when Katie and James said us, her mum was very pleased and announced she'd already checked in with me & we were available for their wedding date!!! The amazing connections we make, how powerful word of mouth is and the lives we are welcomed into through our work never ceases to amaze me!
From Pinders Pond we headed up the road to a friend's farm. The sky was turning beautiful soft hues and I was in photographer heaven!
Kip was having a fabulous time sniffing out rabbits on the hillside and posing for the occasion photo. While James and Katie were rocking their portraits!
James and Katie! You guys were a pleasure to photograph and we loved our time with you on Sunday. We can't wait for your special day to arrive! I have a feeling it's going to be a massively fun day and we're excited to be a part of it. x
