Having got to know Olivia and Ben during their engagement session & then hanging out with them both on their wedding day, I know just how special their love is. These two have found their soulmate in each other. There aren't really words to describe the special bond these two share. I can see it in their eyes when they look at one another, I can see it when Ben makes Olivia laugh her beautiful laugh. I cannot think of two souls better suited for each other & I know they have such a wonderful future ahead of them! Matt and I had a great day photographing this wedding, the bridal party were so much fun, the wedding was beautiful, everyone looked amazing and it was impossible not to be swept up in the excitement & joy that Ben & Olivia's family & friends had for them. I adored this hairpiece! Olivia and her Mum, Fiona, made it from some very special heirlooms - lace from Fiona's own wedding dress, a piece of her veil, some pearls and also beads from Olivia's school ball corsage. I think this was such a beautiful thing to do as mother & daughter and what a gorgeous heirloom they have created to be treasured forever! The girl's day started in Windsor, with hair at Trimbles and makeup next door at Indulge. I made instant friends with Olivia's beautiful bridesmaids; Alex & Natalie! Meanwhile the boys were having an equally relaxed morning getting ready. Ben wore his grandfather's swiss watch, superman cufflinks, aviators, stripey socks and a bowtie! And he rocked it all! Olivia wrote Ben a beautiful letter to read in the morning. Matt tells me there may have been a few tears ;-) While Ben was busy looking flash, Olivia was getting into that stunning dress from House of Kavina, Dunedin! Olivia looked so beautiful! And her cute wee niece definitely thought so too! Ben as he sees his beautiful bride for the first time! After a meaningful & perfect ceremony at the Invercargill Central Baptist Church, the bridal party headed away for portraits, starting with the gardens at The White Heron, where the reception was held. These beautiful bouquets were made by Flowers by Maree of Invercargill. I just love it when brides are up for going on an adventure in their wedding dress. Ben & Olivia wanted to incorporate the beach into their photos because they love spending time by the sea. And Olivia looked so blissfully happy barefoot with sand between her toes! I love shooting at the beach for the softness the sea mist creates in photos. While I was taking a wide landscape shot, Matt captured this more intimate moment of Ben & Olivia. This bridal party! How awesome are those Jaguars?! Last stop was Queens Park. All Olivia's sisters had wedding photos taken there when they married, so it was a tradition we had to continue. We chose the rose garden which is looking stunning at this time of year! Ben & Olivia, we want to thank you again for trusting in us to document your beautiful wedding day. It was such a privilege! I can't wait for you to see all the rest of the photos from your incredible day, your wedding album is going to be amazing!
Congratulations team! Wishing you so much happiness in your marriage.x |
