I've gotten to know Bridget and Hamish well since the first time we met back in 2015! Since then we've kept in touch as plans began for their wedding and it has been such a privilege to get to know this beautiful couple and see the love they have for one another. Despite the questionable weather forecast, Dunedin turned on a brilliant sunny day on Saturday warming up the autumn air. Hamish & Bridget chose to get married on the lawn at Corstorphine House, a boutique and beautiful Dunedin venue. Family and friends cheered the newlyweds on all day - it was such a pleasure to be part of the celebrations! I apologise if this blog is long. I just have too many favourites from Hamish & Bridget's incredible day! These two looked like they'd stepped off the pages of a magazine! Every detail was gorgeous and there is so much love, excitement and joy in these photos; from the girls helping Bridget into her dress, to all the laughs shared during their portraits. Hamish & Bridget's ceremony was the perfect combination of sincere and funny. There were emotional moments as they said their written vows, and a few good laughs as celebrant Jamie shared stories of the pair. Bubbles are my new favourite confetti! Cousin Marty's red Ford looked pretty darn epic for photos! Wow wow wow! You two! On our way to the reception we stopped at Tomohawk Beach where Hamish & Bridget were greeted by their furbaby Bear! I absolutely LOVED that Hamish & Bridget found a way to include Bear in their wedding day. Bear was pretty excited to see them, but possibly also just as excited to dig holes in the beach! 😂 Pirates Rugby Clubrooms didn't look anything like a rugby clubroom. The walls were draped in black cloth contrasting the long banquet tables laden in white and gold. Bridget's mum Brenda had put together the most incredible platter complete with massive rounds of Whitestone Cheeses. Congratulations again Hamish & Bridget! I hope you love your highlights blog - there are so many more photos to come of your beautiful, brilliant day! Thank you for allowing us to be your wedding photographers. It's been so fun getting to know you both and we loved meeting your family and friends on Saturday too!
