This afternoon I had a little trivia fun on my Facebook page, asking people to guess which one of us took the six images I posted; Matt or myself.
The idea came to me when Matt proudly exclaimed that I had used one of his images as an album cover for a wedding - I often prefer Matt's candid perspective where the couples don't realise he's taking their photo and I fell in love with his image so much it made the feature! I've previously blogged about the dynamic of shooting weddings with my husband and the type of shots Matt, as my second shooter, often gets. So I grabbed six recent images and thought I'd create some fun on a Friday!
However when I started this guessing game I announced that I'd shout coffee for anyone that got all six images correct, so obviously I threw in a few trick photos to make it a bit harder otherwise I might find myself overloaded with caffeine! ;-)
So here are the answers, I won't keep you waiting any longer...
Everyone guessed this correctly, knowing that I hang out with the girls in the morning and Matt is with the guys. I love Matt's capture here, he's quite the stylist!
Not many guessed this correctly! I'll admit I included this photo as a bit of a trick...I actually captured this shot while the groom was waiting for his bride at their first look location. Sam was nervously waiting for Kate, so I chatted to him about his cufflinks and asked if I could take a photo to fill in a minute.
Most of you guessed correctly, this was my perspective of Sam & Kate's first look.
The guesses were a mixed bag on this one. But this is the very photo Matt had noticed that I had made the album cover! I was taking photos of the whole bridal party and Matt captured this sweet moment in amongst it. This is one of my favourite shots from Sam & Kate's entire wedding gallery and I am immensely proud of Matt for the great capture. I taught him everything he knows ;-) Haha just kidding! But really...
This was a trick one & everyone fell for it! Usually this WOULD be Matt's angle, but I was busy trying to find the angle I wanted for my shot in this location and meanwhile someone in the bridal party off to the side said something funny making Cory & Koreena laugh, so I grabbed this candid shot.
Guesses on this one were split pretty evenly, but I think a lot of people realised that I would have a more front on angle for the cutting of the cake, while it was more likely Matt standing to the side. I just love their hands in this image, it really captures an intimate, delicate perspective compared to the overall story-telling shot I captured.
And so there you have it! I had fun watching people's guesses come in, thank you everyone who participated! I hope it gave you something to do for five minutes as Friday afternoon dragged by ;-) And even though no one guessed them all correctly, I'm always keen for a coffee date! xxx
PS: Thanks Mum for guessing that Matt took all the images himself and that I just sit back and watch him work on a wedding day! Haha. Love you! xx
