What a way to end 2020 with Greg and Alissa's stunning farm wedding last week! Greg and Alissa celebrated their marriage with friends and family at the Dyer farm on the 28th of December and Southland turned on a beautiful day for them. These two originally planned to wed in Wanaka back in May, but we all know what happened in the first half of 2020 and with Greg & Alissa living in the UK at the time everything was postponed as they tried to race home. In a beautiful turn of events they also fell pregnant and with a change in wedding plans they decided to have their party in the Dyer's front yard, with beautiful views and a marquee set up for guests to party the afternoon away. This wedding was unique in a few ways - Greg and Alissa's ceremony was officiated by Alissa's brother Clark but there was no signing of any documents because in fact Greg and Alissa have been 'official' for quite a few months! They did the paperwork and became man and wife quietly one day in winter, leaving the big celebrations until just last week. 2020 will be a year Greg and Alissa never forget - it was the year they started a new chapter in their love story as they became husband & wife and started a family with their beautiful girl Evelyn. Alissa got ready at home with baby Evelyn enjoying snuggles all morning as hair and makeup happened all around her. There were lots of tears when everyone saw Alissa in her stunning dress. And then more tears as Alissa read a letter Greg had written for her. Meanwhile out at the farm, the guys were claybird shooting and enjoying the sunshine as they got ready for the day ahead. What a cracker day! The Dyer's front yard had been transformed into an incredible wedding venue. Greg, your face when Evelyn came up the aisle with Aunty Coran was just priceless. 🥰 What a stunning spot for a wedding! These photos are so precious. I couldn't get over how much Evelyn had grown since Greg & Alissa's engagement session which was only a few weeks prior to the wedding! While Greg & Alissa's guests flocked to the shade in the garden and enjoyed the bar - we snuck round the corner to the farm yards for portraits. It was so easy-going and chilled just being able to walk to all the spots for photos, with the bridal party grabbing ice cold drinks from the bar on our way past. It also meant we weren't away long as there was no travelling, so Greg & Alissa could get back to the party sooner. Can we take a moment to appreciate how amazing Alissa looked in this stunning sequins long sleeved gown?! You couldn't have picked a better dress Alissa, but not even your dress was as sparkly as that gorgeous laugh of yours. This beautiful bridal party were such good sorts. We laughed our way through all of portrait time, enjoying the banter and good company. I absolutely adore these portraits of Greg and Alissa sitting in the long grass! Finally with our traditional photo with the bride and groom, they were free to head back to their party! Congratulations Greg and Alissa! We loved celebrating with you both on your special day and we wish you a lifetime of happiness together. Thank you for trusting us to be your wedding photographers - it's been quite the journey getting to your day in December but it was well worth the wait, made all the more special having Evelyn as a part of your day! x DRESS: Brides by Donna Rae | SUITS: Hallentsteins | MAKE-UP: Ashlee Whipps | HAIR: Karla, Headhunters | FLOWERS: Ali Andrews | CELEBRANT: Clark Sutherland | VIDEO: Black Feather Studio.
