Colac Bay is special to Ethan and Josie for different reasons. They both grew up in Invercargill and have ties to Colac Bay, but as fate would have it they actually never met until during their university years. Their first meeting has a few variations depending on who you talk to but one thing is for sure; Ethan and Josie's love has stood both the test of time and distance! Their relationship began while Ethan was based in Queenstown and Josie in Dunedin, which then became even further when Ethan moved to the UK for work! Once Josie finished uni she moved over to the UK to be with her man & they've now been there together for many years.
With a laugh Josie also told me she's waited eight and a half years to marry her soulmate (and there's a story that goes with why she had to wait that long too!) but in just a couple of weeks these two tie the knot and we're excited to be their photographers. Matt and I are very much looking forward to celebrating with them, their families and friends!
Here's some of my favourites from a very fun engagement session last week at Colac Bay with these gorgeous humans. From an epic sky to the laughter we shared, this session is one to remember.
Such cuties! I love these images.
I hardly wanted to interrupt Ethan and Josie from their beach picnic but the sky was looking like candy floss and we absolutely had to make the most of that dreamy last light of the evening.
See you in a couple of week's friends. We can't wait to hang out again! x
