Last month I headed down to Bluff one morning to meet this beautiful family - the Devery's. It's fair to say they're a female dominant family - Sonia and Ken have 3 daughters and now 6 granddaughters! I love extended-family shoots! While they can sometimes be chaotic with kids running different directions and parents giving instructions - I think it's precious to be able to get the portraits done when everyone is together as a family, it's not often whole families are all together and it's a great chance to get both generational shots plus family portraits of each family group too.
Bluff was both a special location for the Devery's and a fun spot for me to shoot in. We used a sheltered wee bay close to the lighthouse which offered rocks, sun streaming through the trees and a wonderful sandy beach. And our last stop was another lookout point which had sun-soaked hills of tussocks.
Vicki thank you so much for organising these family portraits! It was wonderful to meet your family & I enjoyed our time together in Bluff. x
