Holly and Adam are expecting identical twin girls and as you can see from the photos they're pretty excited about it! I am so happy for these two, I might have had a few tears of joy in my eyes while editing! I became friends with Holly through work back when we were both still studying. Since then we've shared a lot of fun times together and watched each other go through many seasons of life. So when Holly told me she was pregnant my first exclamation was something along the lines of that I couldn't wait to be 'Aunty Heidi'! And then when she said identical twins I got pretty excited about being able to buy them matching outfits! Adam was probably hoping that I didn't catch that moment where he decided to have a 'bump' contest with Holly! ;-) Oh man you guys are so cute! Holly & Adam thank you so much for letting me take these portraits for you! Holly you look beautiful and Adam you rocked your first time in front of my camera ;-) Hope you love the photos.xxx
It was such a pleasure to take these maternity portraits for Mel & Blair on their farm just out of Knapdale. They gave me a tour of the farm and we even did a lambing beat while out taking maternity portraits (how many photographers get to claim that!?!). And just last week I got the exciting news that Mel & Blair have welcomed a baby boy to their family! These two are such down-to-earth, fun-loving, friendly people. I could have stayed and spent all day yarning and getting to know them. Plus I'm pretty sure their fur-baby Zoe (who features in their photoshoot) was friends with me before I'd even got in the door! How cute are those tiny little Red Bands?! Zoe was a bit of a poser for photos! Pretty much stole the show! Mel & Blair, thank you for the opportunity to document this precious time in your lives! I can't wait to meet your little man. I know you are both going to be great parents and I hope Zoe loves being a big sister too ;-)
As I drove out to the address Helena had given me for their maternity session I felt a sense of deja vu. And when I pulled up the driveway I remembered why it felt so familiar. Paul and Helena have been on their Seaward Downs dairy farm for three years now, having bought it from good family friends of ours! It never ceases to surprise me how small this world truly is!!! Paul & Helena are soulmates, it's obvious to see how perfect they are together. They are also totally excited about the next chapter in their lives and the upcoming arrival of wee bubs. Meeting and getting to know this couple is the epitome of why I LOVE my job. Helena is from the Netherlands and these photos are not only a beautiful moment in their lives captured, but are also a documentation for Helena's mum, many miles away. I had the best afternoon hanging out with Paul & Helena on the farm, completed by the inclusion of Brin, their fur baby. This dog had me laughing - she came over to us in the paddock for a few shots & then headed back to the shed to help bring in some cows for milking! Talk about multi-tasking ;) These guys are too cute! And Helena just glows at 37 weeks! Helena and Paul, I can't thank you enough for giving me the opportunity to document this precious time in your lives! It was such a pleasure to meet you both & I can't wait to get your prints sent to you, they are going to look stunning.xx
