These two gorgeous humans recently spent a long weekend in Wanaka for a 'babymoon' before their little one arrives in a matter of weeks. And we got to catch up with them while they were there! For those who don't know - Chris and Anna are one of our past wedding couples and, like with so many of our couples, we've remained in touch since their wedding! How lucky am I that our business gives us the opportunity to foster friendships like this?! We don't see these two regularly as they live in Christchurch, but while Chris and Anna were in Wanaka we caught up over dinner and then the following morning we headed up the Crown Range road to create some portraits of this very special time in their lives as they embark on the adventure of becoming parents! Chris & Anna - it was so good to see you both. And I can't wait for your little one to arrive! I'm so grateful that we've kept in touch and that we got to spend some time catching up during your Wanaka trip! xx
Back in September Mel messaged me casually mentioning she was 38 weeks pregnant and was there was time to fit in a wee maternity session?! 😆 She promised she'd actually meant to message me months ago! I'm so glad our calendars & the weather aligned for us to get these precious portraits captured! I first photographed Mel & Blair more than two years ago when Clay hadn't yet made his appearance into the world. So it was super special to be back again with these beautiful people. And just this month we met up again to photograph the McKenzie's as a family of four! I loved meeting wee Darcy, who was a superstar for her newborn session. Check out all the cuteness below... Poor Mel had a fun time in my studio last week trying to decide which photographs to get printed for their walls! (Sorry, not sorry Mel 😜). Mel & Blair, thanks heaps for asking me to create these portraits for you. I loved catching up with you and can't wait to get these photos printed for you! x
This portrait session was the first of my spring portrait season which is about to kick into overdrive as this beautiful weather brings with it new growth, warmer days & fresh blossom. On the morning of the Thompson's shoot the sun glowed, the kids had a brand new pet lamb to feed and I had a lot of fun documenting this special time in the Thompson family at their Invercargill home. Katie and Tyler were such cuties to photograph! I love these in-the-moment portraits. And I find myself wondering if one day when Katie & Tyler are older they might find these photos in an album and remember that was the first pet lamb we ever had! Anna & Carey, thank you so much for asking me to create these portraits for you. It was an absolute pleasure to meet you and I have so many new favourite photos from your portrait session! x
