It's been four years since I photographed the lovely Barnett family! Gosh time flies. I had to go look back on the blog to see just how long it had been and my oh my Liv & Jake have grown up so much!!!
Before Christmas I had the pleasure of catching up with the Barnett's in the late afternoon sunshine to update their family portraits. This time Amy and Steve had their parents come along to join in the portrait session - it was lovely to capture some generational shots and those special moments shared between grandkids and their grandparents. We picked a glorious day and this wee spot in one of Gore's local gardens was just perfect for photos.
Here's just a small taster of the magic we created...
Amy thank you so much for asking me to update your family portraits for you! I loved the incorporation of the grandparents for this session too! I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I enjoyed creating them for you. x
Before Christmas we headed out past Fortrose to catch up with friends, the Young family, and create some portraits for them now that they're a family of five!
I've known Ean almost as long as I've known Matt. They were flatmates back in the day! Ean's also the one to blame for getting Matt into super motard racing recently, but it's cool that we still see these guys a fair bit even though they've moved further down South farming. Thank you Ean and Tarsh for asking me to create these portraits for you. It was a pleasure and I can't wait to get your wall prints to you!
Last week I met Carol, her teenage boys and her parents out at Hawthorn Den for a family portrait session. We got a wonderful, warm afternoon with the sun shining through the garden and we timed it pretty much perfectly because as we finished up the shoot it just began to rain softly.
I love Hawthorn Den as a location because of all the beautiful spots for taking portraits - we got such a lovely variety of photos just with a short walk around the grounds and then just down the road we found a spot with a bit more of a rural theme with gravel roads & paddocks.
From our first phone call, right through to helping Carol & her boys pick their favourites to print - it has been a pleasure getting to know this family. It is meeting beautiful people like Carol and her family that makes my job so incredible. Here's just a handful of my favourites from the Quertier family portrait session.
Carol thank you so much for asking me to create these family portraits for you. I loved meeting your beautiful family. We captured a great selection of photographs and I'm so excited to get these portraits printed for you.
