I distinctly remember when Brent and Nicole first came to see me when they began their wedding plans. We spent most of the meeting chatting about our respective fur-babies and that evening when Matt asked me how the day had gone I said to him; 'I think we've found our dog parent twins!' 😍 So needless to say it was cool to meet Toby and the new addition Oscar at Brent and Nicole's Piano Flat engagement session.
Due to weather we'd previously had to reschedule with Nicole & Brent but it feels like doing their engagement session on Sunday was actually meant to be because it was their one year engagement anniversary & we somehow managed to dodge all the rain clouds that were floating about too!
We had a fun afternoon together celebrating their anniversary with engagement portraits amongst the native bush and scenery. Nicole and Brent get married in March next year and it's thanks to many mutual friends that our name was recommended to them as photographers. We're excited to be a part of their big day which I know will be beautiful and filled with the love they share.
Check out that gorgeous engagement ring!
Brent and Nicole - thank you so much for entrusting us as your wedding photographers! We loved getting to know you both better at your engagement session and really appreciated your dedication to travelling out to Piano Flat for it.
Bring on 2019! xxx
Jeremy proposed to Julie during a weekend camping in at Mavora together. Which besides being an idyllic location for an proposal, Mavora is also out of cell phone reception meaning a beautifully quiet weekend of newly engaged bliss and even some early wedding planning Julie tells me!
We headed out to the Anderson family farm on Saturday to catch up with Jeremy & Julie for their engagement session. Earlier this year we photographed Jeremy's sister's wedding here so it was neat to see the Anderson family again.
Jeremy and Julie were AWESOME in front of the camera and I loved that they chose to incorporate ice cream, which is their favourite 'date night' food, into a picnic along with not one but two bottles of bubbly - the second one being for a spectacular ending to the session - you'll have to scroll down to see it!
Jeremy and Julie - thank you both for a wonderful evening spent catching up and creating these engagement portraits with you! We are so excited for your January wedding! xx
Friday's engagement session with Hamish and Morgan felt like catching up with friends - not only because by the time we leave engagement sessions we usually feel like we've gained new friends, but probably also because we already knew Hamish and Morgan through past wedding couples of ours!
Now I generally say a few words in my blog post about the session, the couple or a little about their proposal, but today I'm going to share what Morgan had to say when she saw the sneak peek from their engagement session because I love it and it made me laugh out loud; "For the first wee while we replicated a couple of fish out of water and felt like we were on MAFS being asked to make out on request 😂. A little less than 5 months to go and I’m beyond excited to marry my best friend!" Morgan also did add "These are amazing - I love them. Thank you SO so much!".
Well Morgan and Hamish we are very excited to be counting down the months until your wedding day as well - we're so looking forward to being a part of what we know will be a fabulous day (with a bit more making out too!😆).
Glitter confetti to go with that glittery engagement ring!
Thank you so much Hamish and Morgan for bringing your awesomeness, laughter, love (and glitter) to the engagement session - we had a great Friday evening with you both. I hope you love the blog - many more photos to come! Talk soon, H x
