Since our first meeting I could see the beautiful love that Craig & Georgia share. When we did their engagement session back in October, I knew how awesome, fun and relaxed their wedding day would be. What I hadn't counted on was the stunning day that the Catlins decided to turn on for us! My previous experiences with Catlins weather has usually involved either wind, rain or both - but the wedding day was an absolute stunner! Hot & hardly a breeze. Craig & Georgia had their ceremony at Cannibal Bay, on Craig's family farm. Both the guys and the girls flew to the ceremony in helicopters and then after the ceremony flew the coast down to Tautuku Lodge for the reception. The first time I spoke to Georgia about her wedding I knew helicopters were going to be a huge part of their day - kind of a given when she's been flying helicopters since she was 19! Craig and his groomsmen got ready at the family farm, while Georgia and the girls spent their morning at Kaka Point. When I arrived in the morning the house was filled with the beautiful sounds of laughter and chatter. Georgia's dress was perfect and so were the bridesmaid dresses! Everyone looked incredible. It looks like the guys had just as relaxed a morning as the girls. Georgia gave Craig an awesome blue and silver watch, to match his wedding band. A bit of last minute speech writing... Dressed up smart and ready to go, the guys jumped in their helicopter for the short flight in to Cannibal Bay. Over at Kaka Point, Georgia was busy getting her own helicopter ready too. Talk about arriving in style to your ceremony! As a wedding photographer I've been lucky to get a helicopter flight every now & then, but to have my bride as my pilot is pretty darn epic! Georgia walked arm in arm with her Mum & Dad up the aisle to marry her best friend. Craig & Georgia chose a beautiful spot for their ceremony; tucked away in by the cribs at Cannibal Bay. That archway! All signed & sealed with a kiss! Officially Mr & Mrs Sinclair! How cute are Georgia's wee nieces as flowergirls?! While all the guests took a scenic drive through the Catlins to the reception venue of Tautuku Lodge, the bridal party and I headed down to the beach at Cannibal Bay! I want to give a huge shout out to this awesome bridal party! Thank you for being so much fun to hang out with! I know you each made Craig & Georgia's day that much more perfect. Looking fantastic team Sinclair! We flew down the Catlins Coast and found a beautiful spot where we had views down the coastline and native bush behind us. The late afternoon sunlight was looking amazing while Craig & Georgia shared a few quiet moments together. And then these crazy cats joined us! ;-) A couple of glasses of champers and then it was off to the party! Tautuku Lodge was looking incredible and I fell instantly in love with the decor Craig & Georgia had created - complete with the set of antlers above the bridal table! These antlers are from Georgia & Craig's hunting trip that turned into a proposal. Craig's mum, Esther, made the cake which looked awesome! When Georgia & Craig made their grand entrance the room exploded with the loudest roar of congratulations I think I've ever heard at a wedding! I remember looking at Matt with a huge grin on my face because it was such a beautiful, intense sound of love and joy for these newlyweds! The speeches were heartfelt, funny and full of love for Craig & Georgia. After speeches everyone was treated to an amazing BBQ and feast served up by the great ladies from Telford. It was such a warm evening that half the guests spent most of the evening outside on the big veranda that wraps around the lodge building. Craig & Georgia's first dance was to a 60's hit by The Kinks. Queenstown band The Flavour had everyone up dancing with their awesome old school playlist. I was tempted to have a little dance myself! Georgia & Craig - congratulations friends on such an epic first day of marriage! Great things are in store! Thank you for giving us the privilege of documenting your day. You're both incredibly beautiful people inside & out, it's been awesome getting to know you both and it was so much fun capturing these memories for you. It was very hard choosing my favourites for the blog; sorry if it takes so long to load, I may have gone a little overboard!
