Our friends got married on Friday!!! Not only did we get to party all day & night with them but we also had the honour of capturing all the love, celebration and downright gorgeousness of their wedding day as the photographers! I still don't have the words to describe the beauty of Brad and Jessie's wedding. From Jessie's dress to all the special, sentimental details. Everyone looked incredible. There were plenty of tears of joy - all mainly from Brad! I loved the homemade touches including all the florals. Basically I'm going to be gushing about this wedding for the rest of my career as a wedding photographer! Congratulations Mr & Mrs Sayer! Maybe I'm a tad biased, but I think you two take the meaning of soulmates to a whole new level. Your personalities are just so in-sync and as far as love stories go yours is one of my faves. We are so thrilled for you both and the joining of your families. How cute is this wee dot?! Brad and Jessie's youngest daughter. 😍 When Jessie first started wedding planning she told me about her dream wedding dress from the label Grace Loves Lace. From that first conversation about dress designers I was super excited to see Jessie in her dress - I knew whatever Jessie chose it would be something unique and timeless. I just love these reaction shots! Brad's morning was spent getting the cars just right, helping set up the ceremony site and of course sinking a few beers. The boys asked Matt 'does that camera of yours take selfies?' The result: ... Jan (Jessie's Mum) created that incredible archway including the macramé! The Gore Golf Club made the perfect ceremony venue with the Hokonui Hills in the distance. Brad and Jessie's ceremony was filled with lots of laughter, tears and even a couple of fist pumps and high-fives! Guests made their way over to the clubhouse for the afternoon while we had our own wee party with this awesome crew. One of Brad's other loves is his car. Which of course featured in the portraits. In fact cars were even mentioned in Brad & Jessie's wedding vows! Naturally when doing portraits on a golf course the proper mode of transport is golf carts! We took a cruise around Gore's beautiful golf course for portrait time - it was so laidback, fun and easy. This golf course has some stunning spots for photos and I think we nailed Jessie's vision of a woodland location. I'm obsessed with all the happiness in these photos. Fee, this one's for you my friend! 😜 Our last stop on the way to the reception was Brad & Jessie's caravan, because you know, van life! And it was only fitting that we get some photos with the caravan as this is where Brad proposed to Jessie. Brad and Jessie had transformed the Gore Town & Country Club stadium into a wedding reception wonderland! All the florals from this whole wedding day had been grown by Jessie's mum. Painted tins with candles twinkled on all the tables. The wedding cake was a masterpiece - baked by the bride herself and then gorgeously decorated by the talented Jude Taylor! The speeches were fabulous. So many laughs, a few swear words (Brad) and more love than you could imagine. That donut wall! Brad and Jessie had with their first dance as husband and wife, then local band; Crash Course kept the dance floor packed all night. Go Team Sayer!!! Brad and Jessie the hugest congratulations again on the best day ever! Thank you for having us as your photographers! And thank you for one hell of a party! I'm excited for you to see this blog and there are so many more photos still to come. Your wedding album is going to be EPIC. All my love, x.
