Congratulations to Mr & Mrs Law!!!
I can't think of a better blog to start off 2015 than with the Law's beautiful country station wedding.
Andrew Law & Jayne Grant planned & put together the most incredible country wedding with the help of family & friends on Jayne's parent's country station. With first look photos on top the tussock covered hills, a garden ceremony complete with a few raindrops for good luck & a barn-dance reception in the freshly renovated and kitted-out wool shed! Easy to say I was in photographer HEAVEN!!!
I was so amazed at every detail & thought Jayne & Andrew had put into their wedding. Right down to a very cool personalised wedding ring for Andrew! When I first met with Jayne she had said they just wanted to make the day their own & Jayne, you guys rocked it!
Jayne's dress was made using her mother's original wedding dress.
And of course no country wedding is complete without cowgirl boots!
Jayne wore a lovely corsage instead of having her own bouquet, leaving her hands free to hold her man. Bundy, Jayne's faithful dog, was her shadow for the day, overseeing everything & playing the important role of ring bearer and a groomsman.
The girls got ready at the homestead, while the boys had spent the night before up at the wool shed, where they got ready in the morning.
With all the girls looking lovely, it was then time for Mum to help Jayne into her stunning dress.
There's something very special about that moment just after you put on your wedding dress. It's hard to describe, but it's written all over Jayne's face. I don't think she stopped smiling all day :)
Jayne you were an absolutely stunning bride!
We were soon off up the hill for Andrew to see his beautiful bride. It took about 15 minutes to drive in 4wd's to the top of the tussock covered range, where it all started with Andrew's proposal.
Jayne & Andrew opted for a First Look - seeing each other before the ceremony & doing their bridal photos at this time rather than having to leave their guests after the ceremony. I am a huge fan of first looks - its a very precious moment seeing each other for the first time on your wedding day & its kind of nice to have that time to yourselves. By the time you get to the ceremony you're more relaxed and it also means after the ceremony you can get straight into celebrating with all your loved ones.
One of the best parts of a wedding day for me is seeing the groom's reaction when he sees his bride.
With a little rain setting in up on the hill, we headed back down the track to the homestead for some bridal party fun round the property.
As guests started arriving, the bridal party tucked themselves away in the house, and Blackie, Jayne's stallion, was given a final brush down ready for the big entrance.
While the party started in the garden with drinks and canapés, we snuck off to check out the wool shed!
I don't know how to describe how awesome it looked. Just check it out!
Great speeches, a delicious dinner & some cake cutting.
And then it was time to put those cowgirl boots to work on the dance floor!
Andrew & Jayne, thank you so much for having us as your photographers on your beautiful wedding day!
We wish you a life time of happiness together.xxx
